About Me
After 25 years in broadcast radio I made a career path change from a Vice President of the largest ad agency in the world for non-profit entities in Los Angeles, California, to a part-time security guard at a construction site in Fort Worth, Texas. It wasn't all my idea.
I have learned a lot..
While I do not have the tools, whereabouts, or inclination to remedy all of the world’s ill’s; my past decade has given me (apologies to Liam Neeson) a certain set of skills that can help individuals and businesses alike.
I intend to help people not to be a successful target, so you don’t have to go into a defending yourself or survivor mode.
You should know basic self-defense. If you desire, you should be trained and regularly practiced with your weapon(s) of choice. These will help give you peace of mind. But that is a reactive peace of mind.
I am proposing a proactive, amplified, awareness of your surroundings that will remove the threat or remove you from the sites of a threat before the nefarious act begins in earnest. Intentional peace of mind.
I primarily utilize four sources:
Through these items I have created the R.A.P.I.D. Security Protocol© for business and company preemptive planning, and the L.A.V.A. Trust Protocol© for individual and personal safety.
I bring experience from securing a 300+ acre closed site social media data center including the transportation of proprietary equipment and a 24/7 SOC, from working with 50+ retailers from discount to luxury, from securing big stadium and event locations, and from being on Executive protection details. Experience that when blended gives one a unique and overarching perspective on how to address security issues.
Apart from my work life I enjoy German Shepherds, trying restaurants, beach trips, and music. I read a lot, traditional book, Kindle, and audiobooks when on the road. I am a classically trained vocal musician and a pretty good drummer. I married the love of my life in 2023, an Arabic Queen, and we are in the midst of living happily ever after.
I am serious, funny, and at times seriously funny.

- Substantial and ongoing study from industry experts via readings and on-line forums
- Frequent conversations with international security leaders
